Sales Down at Blyth

Q1 falls 14% to $233.1 million.

Blyth, Inc. reported sales and earnings for the first quarter of 2013.  Net sales for the three months ended March 31, 2013 decreased approximately 14% to $233.1 million, primarily due to lower sales at ViSalus and, to a lesser extent, at PartyLite, while Miles Kimball reported a sales improvement.  Candles & Home Decor sales slipped 9% to $91.0 million, reflecting lower levels of sales consultants in many of our larger, more mature markets.  Commenting on the first quarter sales results...
